THE CONCEPT: Underground Books and More was a name and concept conceived from a book written by Beverly Jenkins titled “Indigo” and this story is about the struggle of blacks during the 1860’s. It paints a picture of what our live
s were like and what the “Underground Railroad” meant to us as a people. The Underground Railroad was hope during what most thought of as a hopeless time in our lives. Just as Christ is to us today.
